Norma Elaine Wiseman-Hancock, 96, passed away on December 11,2020 in the care of Hospice. Norma, the daughter of Willard and Helen (Swaim) Baker, was born on July 12,1924. In 1942, Norma married the love of her life, Lynn Wiseman, and four children followed this marriage. They had 47 wonderful years together living in Atwood and Plymouth, Indiana then settled in Naples, Florida. Norma married William Hancock in 1990.
Norma was a dedicated teacher and proud to see her students become aspiring adults. She taught at West and Knox Community Schools in Indiana and later she taught at Immokalee Middle School and Poinciana School in Collier County Public Schools.
Survivors include her husband, William Hancock of Naples; her children, Linda Rippy, Judy Bowman, Steve Wiseman, and Jim Wiseman; grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Preceding Norma in death are her parents, husband, Lynn and brother, Rolland.
In accordance with the family wishes, cremation service were provided and a memorial service will be held in Plymouth at a later date.
Because of Norma’s love for animals, memorials may be made in her memory to a local animal shelter of your choice.
