Julius Siminovsky, 87, of Naples, FL and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born March 28, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY; the son of the late Louis and Pauline (Pearlman) Siminovsky. He served in the U.S. Army, Private First Class, during the Korean War. After retiring from the steel drum industry, he came down to Florida and volunteered at Hollywood Memorial Hospital
He is survived by his two sons, William Alan (Mary) Siminovsky of Naples, FL and Paul Ira (Robin) Siminovsky of Whitestone, Queens, NY; ten grandchildren, Alaina (Nate) Karsten, Skylar, Malcolm, Allison and Lucas Siminovsky, Derek, Devin, Austin, Trevor and Tyler Gluvna and two great-grandsons, Jax and Blaise. He was preceded in death by his wife Anita Rose Siminovsky in December of 2018.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel. Graveside services with Honors will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Julius' memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
