Dennis Voytko, 60, of Bonita Springs, FL and Canfield, OH, passed away November 23, 2020. He was born May 29, 1960 in Youngstown, OH and was a kind and loving husband to Debbie, a beautiful woman, for over 36 years. To see Dennis and Debbie together you would think they were still dating. This was a love story for the ages. Everyone knew that with Dennis there was Debbie. The two of them became something greater than the sum of one plus one.
Dennis was the smartest guy in the Austintown Fitch Highschool class of 1978. Later, after terrorizing the University of Dayton he got his accounting degree from Youngstown State University and became a journeyman pipefitter all while working at Lordstown. He was the treasurer for UAW local 1714 for many years and was an activist for all the members in the UAW. His efforts in always pushing boundaries to fight for the rights of all union workers is a huge loss for honest working people. Dennis was an avid golfer and loved golfing with his wife and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Voytko; daughters, Danielle (Marty) Jourdan and Dana Voytko (Joey McComb); granddaughters, Jocelyn and Julia Jourdan; brother, Thomas (Kathy) Voytko; nephews, Steven Voytko, Daniel (Lori) Voytko, Andrew (Marianna) Voytko and Jason Harris and great nieces and nephews, Merrill, Leigha Olivia, Rita, Cordelia and Andrew Voytko. He is also survived by his cousins, Chuck (Kathy) Ratie and their child, Alexandra Ratie (Andrew Carver); Robert (Linda) Terlecky and Maryann Coates. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Voytko; brother, Michael; mother and father-in law, Butch and Roseann Lemke and a brother-in-law, Danny Reed.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held at a later date.
