M. Charles HormanOctober 29, 1934 ~ August 19, 2017 (age 82)
M. Charles Horman, 82, of Naples, FL was peacefully called home to God on August 19th, 2017. Chuck passed in death as he lived in life: surrounded by people who truly loved him. Born in Massac County, Illinois to Orval and Lena (Bremer) Horman, Chuck built a life in Ohio, where he married the love of his life, Diane; served in the military, fathered two beautiful children, owned a successful insurance agency, and volunteered his time on various committees and boards. Upon moving to Naples, Chuck enjoyed an active retired life and traveled the world on cruises and family vacations. He was an avid golfer, a volunteer at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, a dedicated member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church, and an angler who caught 138 tarpon over 100 pounds. He also enjoyed hunting, his daily 2-mile walks, and social events in his Quail Creek community. Those who knew Chuck will feel the loss of a dynamic, caring, generous man who handed out sincere compliments and who loved his family dearly.
In addition to the many people Chuck impacted, he leaves behind his wife, Diane (nee Auxter) with whom he recently celebrated 60 years of marriage; daughter, Tracey Case (Don); son, Todd; grandchildren, Jennifer McInnis (Brent), Jessica Case, Marc Case (Emily), Kali Horman, and Kristopher Horman; great-grandchildren, William and Harper McInnis, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
A memorial celebrating his extraordinary life will be held at a future date.
